The book ‘The Silva Mind Control Method’ is simply a bait for you to join the course. It is persuasive, with many pages devoted to unilateral results and testimony that nudge you toward the course. And it does it so beautifully. This is an excellent example of controlling others’ minds. On the other hand, Silva Mind Control, created in the 1960s by Jose Silva and which was a rage in the 80s, is all about controlling your mind and doing things you may consider impossible. They are believers, and some people call it pseudoscience.
Silva Mind Control is supposed to be a guidebook but falls short. It covers a few processes like meditation and visualisation – how to change habits, decrease stress and insecurities, enhance creativity, develop concentration, harness the power of the unconscious mind through dreams, and increase self-healing. It almost states and suggests that everyone has psychic abilities and can manage/use the power of clairvoyance, and that has found more critiques than supporters.
No doubt, the methods impact the reader, even if momentarily, and they make the reader feel good about the possibilities and how to overcome negative thoughts and manifest goodness in life as if life was so simple an act to follow. Maybe it is for some people, and I am not one of them… though I have read and heard of many such techniques. I have my techniques, observations and belief in Lucid dreaming, Past life and manifestation of desire and ambition.
The book is still a catalogue and a brochure for Silva’s method; you will not gain much from the book. So, there are two alternatives. Live like the way you have been and, if desired, experiment with half the information provided in the book. The second is to find and enrol in the promised 40 hours course. Oh, did I recommend the course? No, I only showed you the possibility and hope you don’t waste time on this book.
The method may be correct and have its advantages. It may be an effective and efficient way to achieve many positive outcomes. But the BOOK ‘The Silva Mind Control Method’ is a silly nudge for the course with a teaser of techniques, stating that better results at the course and the often repetitive success testimonial with one silly failure. Come on, I have seen many push salesman- but this beats all of them.
