69th EPISODE. I have been doing and creating these as a self-developed mode of concentration. Now I know that what I mostly do is called ZENTANGLE, a distinct form of art. Anyway that is not the story. People who have seen this happening really understand and appreciate it.
I doodle or I do sketches or I do Zentangle whatever maybe the name you give them, it is my way of concentrating. I am absolutely not sure when it converted into my way of concentrating.
Few people know that I do make doodles, sketch a bit and create Zentangles. Such drawings come out on an average of 4 in a daylong session. There is a joke about it- if I a not making them then I am not concentrating, that means I am not in the meeting mentally. LOL. A good perception to have.
No, before you think otherwise let me tell you that is the absolute truth. Many initially were irritated seeing me drawing while they present. Many to check have tried throwing a bouncer unannounced, asking a question on what was being discussed. Every time I have disappointed them. They have shocked as to how I could be concentrating in drawing and at the same time able to concentrate in the meeting.
By the time I left my last job to start Intradia (www.intradia.in), the situation was such that the presented would see if I was doodling or not. I have been asked- you are not doodling are you not concentrating.
What is the material used. Simple A4 photocopy paper, coasters ( see the round ones), office memo pad and simple Uniball Signo 0.7 and 0.5 pen, though I plan to graduate to the Pigma Micron pens 01.03.05 best suited for this work.
I do plan to take this art form forward and planning some sort of a workshop to spread its therapeutic and meditative effect. Do connect, if you want your team to learn the basics of how to make them. Meditate in a different way. Trust me, the patterns you use reflect your personality and individual priorities as much as any other science can.
